A section of the beach adjacent to a big island construction project (Lighthouse Condos, just north of Suntide II) looks like it will enjoy a white Christmas. When asked how it liked being bathed in bits of insulating styrofoam, the local flora and fauna had no comment.

This lovely shot was submitted by "Keitha" - a Winter Texan from NY who spends Jan. & Feb. here with her husband. She writes that New York is getting buried in the white stuff and that she is ready for some sand between her toes.

Amazin' Walter calls Toasty "the beachbum brother of Frosty the Snowman."

This incarnation of Toasty was created by sandy feet and Fred Mallett in front of Suntide II on Sunday, Nov.24, 2002 as a commissioned piece for a photo shoot.

It's beach renourishment time on the Island. This photo was shot the morning of 11/29 on the beach in front of Suntide II.... workers are inching their way north. It is hoped hte project will be completed by Christmas.
