Spring Break 2002 is right around the corner. The 'breakers are already banging at my doors and clamoring for information and tips. You want to talk to them and I have their attention. Below are some strategies I am working on to help you find each other. SPIonline.com spring break pages These pages are already attracting an average of 200-400 unique visitors per day, and if last year's stats are any indication, those numbers will continue to build to well over 1000/day by mid-Feb. (Yes, I can prove it. see link at right) If your business is offering a service, a deal, an activity that would appeal to spring breakers, I am eager to post that on my site at absolutely no charge to you. ( As in FREE!!!) All you have to do is e-mail me a very brief description of what you have to offer in the form you would like to see it published. To draw even more attention to your service, I would invite you to take a look at my banner ad rates. They are very competitive and are targeting the very audience you seek. Furthermore, if you advertise with me, your message will be doubly reinforced by.... The Spring Break Newsletter Starting Jan. 1, I will be publishing a weekly spring break newsletter that will be e-mailed to anyone who signs up for it here. This newsletter will feature snippets of "ask sandy" wisdom <g>, tips from "Island-Lawyer" Mike McNamara, expanded updates from the spring break pages at spionline.com and messages from my advertisers. When visitors sign up for the newsletter, they are allowed to "opt-in" to receive other springbreak-related e-mails. If you have any interest in this very targeted data base, then we need to talk... Spring Break Logo Sculptures The Sons of the Beach Sand Castle Wizards can put your company name/logo/message right on the beach in the middle of spring break. Imagine the following scenario: 6 AM - any morning of "Texas Week" - the SoBs head out to the beach at "springbreak central" (or whatever SPI Beach you choose) and shovel up a 15 minute pile of sand. They build a wall --- or a computer screen --- or a beer bottle --- or whatever! with YOUR LOGO on it. Maybe a sandy bikini-clad babe lounges in front of it. They are finished and off the beach by 10 AM. 10:01 AM - Breakers make their way out to the beach, see a very cool sand sculpture with YOUR LOGO on it! They shoot lots of pictures and live video of it to show their friends when they get home. Drunk:30 PM - You know what happens next --- they take great delight in stomping it. The sand returns to its natural state. Want us to do it for you again tomorrow? (Discount on multiple sculptures!) |
