spring break

Dad Feets will be observing Spring Break '02 in its entirety from his vantage point at the top of Saida Royale and has promised to forward digital pics of the Rad's "Coca Cola Beach" every day for the rest of the month. Watch spring break unfold before your very eyes!

The photos will be shot every day at the "peak" of the action - about 3:00 PM. You can click on the thumbnail to get the full shot.

If you appreciate his efforts, why not send him an e-mail and tell him so? e-mail Dad Feets

Observation:

With absolutely miserable weather the kids were struggling to find
something to do. A warm pool was obviously a good choice. The large T
pool and its hot tub are rigidly controlled by the local vendor and
alcohol is not allowed to be brought in. This narrows the choice to
paying big bucks for drinks or drinking elsewhere and rushing to the hot
tub to get warm. I'm wondering if anyone has investigated the cost of
heating the large pool, if only for this month, and why a single vendor
has all the control of such prime space. At any rate a breaker had an
unfortunate accident in the hot tub which put it off limits for the rest
of the day.

Over at the heated pool, action was heavy and attracted the attention of
at least eight security people. I'm convinced that most (security) just
wanted to watch, but admittedly from my 12th floor vantage point I
couldn't tell if there was a specific violation being investigated.

Kids pay big bucks to be here and we have an obligation to provide a
certain amount of privacy. It's my opinion that a higher level of trust
is needed and eventually common sense prevails and kids will begin
monitoring each other. Security should be behind the scene and available
for "real" emergencies. -"Dad Feets"
